39 STRIPES is a Christian modern rock band that originated in Florida in 1998 and also has members living in North Carolina. The band has been featured on national television, Christian and secular radio, and in music magazines.
39 STRIPES has performed in front of thousands and has shared concert stages with Christian artists such as Jars of Clay, The Newsboys, Out of the Grey, Rachael Lampa, Margaret Becker, Carman, Geoff Moore, and many others.
The band's debut CD "39 Stripes" was recorded at Mike Conway Studios in Tampa, Florida and was released in 1998. The CD featured fan favorites such as Great Walls, I'd Love You Anyway, and My Desire with all three songs reaching the Top 10 on many Christian rock charts.
In March of 2002, the band's sophomore release, "Saving Me A Place", hit the airwaves immediately on radio stations across the United States, Germany, France, Thailand, and Australia. The guitar-driven limited edition EP was recorded at Platt Brothers Studios in New Port Richey, Florida. "Saving Me A Place" received rave reviews, was featured in Billboard Magazine, and had five Top 10 hits on the MP3.com rock charts including Amazed, which spent three weeks topping the charts at #1.
39 STRIPES released their third CD "Burn" in
November 2004 and was recorded by The Platt Brothers at Tropic Sound
Studios. "Burn" was mastered by guitar great Ty Tabor of King's X.
